In your post you should describe the following: A- What you did, if anything, to overcome the distractions B- How successful you were in the class or training C- Which strategies from the two Essential College Skills Foundations that you read for this discussion would have helped you be more successful 2- Second and third posts: Pick two (2) of your classmates’ posts and describe whether or not the strategies they chose would have helped in their situation. Include additional or alternative strategies from the Essential College Skills Foundations that would have helped them succeed. These two posts should be between five (5) and twelve (12) sentences long. one of my classmate:I used to be horrible at taking notes. When I went back to review them, I couldn’t even read it. But since I have started college, I make it a point to take good notes. I put headings, subheadings, and points about the subject. If I think something is really important I will put an asterisk next to it. I take a lot of notes when I read, if I see it on paper, it helps me understand it better. I also highlight what I think is an important point. We live with our daughter, son-in-law, and three of our grandchildren, so there are always a lot of distractions. I used to wait until they went to bed to work on my homework, but I found that I was rushed to get the assignments done, and made more mistakes.
